Beach key largo florida11/24/2023 ![]() Next day we got to the beach, which is small-a little sad that the beaches here are privately owned and fence off. Our first nightt was devoted to settling in. Tshe main items of more recent invention were the LED TV and the air conditioning. The little kitchenette had a full sized fridge, an electric stove, a very small counter and some essential housewars. The master bedroom was separate, the living area had a double bed so you could sleep 4 if needed. We'd rented a suite As note, this place is a throwback to the first time I was in Florida in the 1960s-simple buildings all in the same shade of blue, interior walls painted sea-mist green or in dark wood panel. The only thing I would have liked was a shelf or storage cabinet in the bathroom, but I already knew not to expect one from a previous review. It's old Florida for sure, so don't expect a slick chain hotel appearance. My room had almost everything I needed, including an actual stove (which I didn't need, but it was nice to have), plenty of space, super clean and really adorable. I found the Seafarer reviews and web site to be very appealing and I was not disappointed. My husband and I usually stay at the Hampton up the road from the Seafarer, but I was traveling alone and the prices there were much higher than usual.
